Refund & Cancellation Policy

Clear and transparent information about payments, cancellations and refunds.

25 August 2026: 23 July 2026

1. About This Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the circumstances in which refunds, cancellations, rescheduling and credits may be available for online Quran and Islamic education services provided by Al Quran Academy.

Al Quran Academy is the trading name and online education brand operated by ADIL ABDULLAH LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom.

Company: ADIL ABDULLAH LTD

Company Number: 16176964

Registered Office: 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom

2. Our Services

We provide online one-to-one Quran and Islamic education services, which may include Quran reading, Noorani Qaida, Tajweed, memorisation, translation, Tafseer, Arabic and Islamic Studies.

Classes are generally arranged according to the student's agreed schedule. When a class time is reserved for a student, a teacher may be assigned and that time may be reserved specifically for that student.

3. Payments

Payments may be made securely through Stripe, PayPal, or another payment method clearly shown at checkout.

Prices, class frequency, class duration and the applicable package or subscription terms will be communicated to the customer before payment.

By completing a payment, the customer confirms that they have reviewed the applicable service details, price and relevant terms.

4. Monthly Packages and Paid Periods

Where a customer purchases a monthly or other fixed-period package, the payment relates to the services and class availability reserved for the applicable paid period.

Once the service period has started, payments are generally non-refundable for classes that have already been provided or for class time that has been reserved and made available to the student, subject to applicable legal rights.

Please note:

A customer cannot normally receive a refund simply because they choose not to attend classes after purchasing a package, where the relevant classes or teacher availability have been reserved for them.

5. Cancellation Before Classes Begin

If a customer requests cancellation before the agreed classes have started, we may consider a refund on a case-by-case basis.

Any refund may take into account services already provided, administrative work already completed, payment processing costs where applicable and other reasonable costs directly related to the cancellation, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.

6. Cancellation After Classes Have Started

Once classes have started, customers may request cancellation of future classes.

Cancellation will normally stop future services or future recurring payments, where applicable. However, payments relating to classes already delivered, classes already used or class time already reserved for the customer will generally not be refundable, subject to applicable legal rights.

7. Student Cancellations and Missed Classes

Teachers reserve specific class times for students. For this reason, students should provide reasonable advance notice if they are unable to attend a scheduled class.

Cancellation with advance notice

Where a student provides reasonable advance notice, we may offer a make-up class or rescheduling subject to teacher availability and our scheduling rules.

Late cancellation or no-show

If a student cancels shortly before a scheduled class or does not attend without reasonable notice, the class may be treated as a used class and may not be eligible for a refund or make-up class.

This is because the teacher's time has been reserved and may not be possible to offer to another student at short notice.

8. Teacher Cancellations or Technical Problems

If a class cannot take place because of a problem caused by Al Quran Academy or the assigned teacher, we will generally offer one of the following solutions:

9. Internet and Technical Problems on the Student's Side

Students are responsible for having a suitable internet connection and a compatible device for attending online classes.

If a student is unable to attend because of problems with their own internet connection, device, software or equipment, the class may be treated as a missed class and may not be refundable.

We will consider genuine technical problems on a case-by-case basis where appropriate.

10. Free Trial Classes

Where a free trial class is offered, the terms of the trial will be communicated to the customer before the trial takes place.

A free trial does not automatically create a paid subscription or recurring payment unless the customer separately agrees to purchase a paid service or subscription.

11. Refund Requests

Refund requests should be submitted by email to:

info@thealquranacademy.com

To help us review a refund request, please include the customer's name, email address, payment date, amount paid and a clear explanation of the reason for the request.

We may request additional information reasonably necessary to investigate a refund request.

12. Approved Refunds

Where a refund is approved, we will normally process the refund to the original payment method used for the transaction, where technically possible.

Refund processing times may depend on the payment provider and the customer's bank or card issuer.

After we approve and process a refund, the time it takes to appear in the customer’s account depends on the original payment provider, payment method and financial institution.

13. Disputes and Chargebacks

If you have a concern about a payment, service or refund, please contact us first so that we can investigate and attempt to resolve the matter promptly.

Customers should provide us with an opportunity to resolve genuine payment or service concerns before initiating a payment dispute where appropriate.

Nothing in this policy removes or limits any rights that a customer may have under applicable law, including any applicable rights relating to unauthorised transactions or consumer protection.

14. Statutory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy is intended to exclude or restrict any rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under applicable law.

Depending on the customer's location, the nature of the service and how the contract was entered into, customers may have statutory cancellation or other consumer rights.

Where a customer asks us to begin providing services during an applicable cancellation period, the customer may be responsible for the proportion of the service provided before cancellation, where permitted by applicable law.

15. How to Cancel

To request cancellation of future classes or recurring payments, please contact us using the details below.

Cancellation requests should include the customer's full name, registered email address and the requested cancellation date.

Where a recurring payment is cancelled, cancellation will normally apply to future billing periods and will not automatically create a refund for services already provided or reserved.

16. Policy Changes

We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services, payment methods, business practices or legal requirements.

The latest version will be published on this page with the updated date shown above.
